This playground is located in Al-Adhamiya, a Sunni enclave that was the center of Baghdad’s resistance to the invasion.  It was the site of a bloody demonstration against the occupation. Many dead bodies were found under a nearby bridge. I was told that since the capture of Saddam, there has been at least one attack per week against American soldiers.
